Cameraphone Photographer of the Year Contest
The UK Times Online is holding a Cameraphone Photographer of the Year contest. From the announcement:
From celebrity snapping to serious news capture, cameraphones are a growing part of the media agenda. Cameraphones are making news pundits out of us all. World events such as last July’s London bombings, human interest stories about a celeb on the high street or local news on the village football team are captured and shared instantly. And all to a waiting, watching and wider audience.
Now the search is on to crown the UK’s Cameraphone Photographer of the Year, 2006. We’re looking for striking shots that tell a story, taken by amateurs using any cameraphone.
The winner gets their shot in the Times, a spot in a London gallery, and a day with a Times photographer, and an entry in Sony Ericsson’s International Cameraphone Photographer of the Year competition.
