Nokia makes web browser for S60 available to Open Source community

With the success of so many open source programs in recent years, this is a really smart move by Nextel.
Web browser for S60 is the browser for phones and mobile devices using the Symbian OS. Nokia released the source code, as well as an enhancement/development kit for the development community. The goal is to reduce fragmentation in the next generation of mobile browsers, which is corporate speak for “the goal is to make this the standard phone and mobile web browser in the future”. Cunning, and ultimately helpful. Standards are quite useful when it comes to developing technologies.
