This is hilarious. The SciFi Channel is having a show called Who Wants to be a Superhero, and one of the characters is going to be Cell Phone Girl.

Cell Phone Girl’s real life name is Chelsea Weld, and she’s a 22 year old interior designer. Some of her “super powers”:

Teleport from one active cell phone to another; eyes can take digital photos; download any information available on a computer (i.e., learn Japanese on the fly); use cell-phone waves to move physical objects; fires beams from her cell phone.

Her main vulnerability, naturally enough, is areas with no cell phone service.

Her catch phrase is dorky enough that I actually found it amusing: “Listen to this”. Ha.

Mobile Herald will obviously be rooting pretty hard for Cell Phone Girl to win the SciFi Channel’s competition.
