Sprint is talking to Sling Media in an effort to make it’s mobile content more appealing and useful. Sprint already offers short clips and music, but it’s wanting to make home cable TV completely available on it’s cell phones. Sprint execs think the technology will become more important in the “next three to five years”. That would be quite the achievement. Long subway ride, just pull out the cell phone and watch some DVR’d Deadwood. Pretty sweet.
