Cingular has always priced their text messaging a little differently than most carriers, charging $5 for 200 text messages and another $5 for 200 multimedia messages.

Now they’ll have a price point of $5 for 200 generic units (multimedia or text) and $20 for 3,000 generic units (again, multimedia or text).

Not a huge change, but it’ll make life a little easier for Cingular customers.
